Al and Karen Byrne and family attended GIANTS vs Essendon at ENGIE Stadium – Sydney Olympic Park
Wellbeing Facilitator, Vanessa Campbell and her family were also in attendance. Best not to discuss the state of play on the field, but a grand time was had in the stalls with our own little party.
Many thanks to Al and Karen for being there. And a special thanks to GWS Giants for the tickets and their support for TPI NSW members.
Cor Infinitus Morning Tea
Posted on by Alex Kaufman
CEO Jenny-Jane Carpenter and Wellbeing Facilitator Vanessa Campbell attended the Cor Infinitus morning tea held in the Function Room at the Australian War Memorial, ACT. Kevin Humphreys extended the invitation after being guest speaker at the TPI book launch.
It was a very moving event and we add their website link here for your perusal: https://www.corinfinitus.org/
General (Retd) the Honourable David Hurley AC CVD DSC is their patron. Vanessa and Jenny-Jane had a lovely conversation with him and others about changes at TPI NSW and finding a very high level of interest and support from everyone.

Visit to Orange 5 and 6 May 2026
Posted on by Alex Kaufman

As part of TPI Veterans NSW commitment to all members, The Board and the TPI NSW Executive are on the road and visiting regional Australia. And what a warm welcome we received at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club in Orange this week.
President Kevin Kelly, Vice President Harry Lowe and board member and champion of the constitutional reform project, Phil Hurren, were joined in Orange by TPI NSW CEO Jenny-Jane Carpenter and supported by Wellbeing Facilitator Vanessa Campbell. Together they presented with Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Deputy Commissioner Katrina Jocumsen (NSW/ACT) and TPI Federation President Scott Jeffrey.
Topics included the incoming changes to DVA special rate pensions and a broad range of benefits, the TPI NSW amendments to the Constitution, and a range of improvements to service and new services such as Veteran Family and Welfare Hubs in regions across NSW being implemented by DVA.
Hosting sessions across two days, we had an opportunity to connect with members and their supporters across the Central Tablelands.
Right now, as a member, you have an opportunity to vote to continue the good work for members by TPI Veterans NSW by voting yes to the Ballot you would have received this week and supporting the future of TPI in NSW. www.myvote.com.au/tpi We are working to build and protect your legacy, and you should have your say, so please vote now.
The team have been busy in recent weeks with visits to Hornsby, Orange, and Wagga Wagga, with Canberra, Nowra, and Central Coast coming up. RSVPs are open for the Social and Welfare Club meeting in Nowra on 19 May and a special social get-together to consult members about increasing TPI presence in Wyong and surrounding areas on 20 May. Contact the office wellbeing@tpinsw.org.au to RSVP or ask for details about Wyong or Nowra and speak to Vanessa. We would love to see you there.

With the support of NSW Waratahs, members were able to attend the game on Friday last week.
The NSW Waratahs defeated Moana Pasifika 29-14 in a round 10 Super Rugby Pacific clash at Allianz Stadium on Friday, 17 April 2026. The match included a 40-minute lightning delay in the second half, with the Waratahs scoring a bonus-point win despite trailing 14-12 at halftime.
Thank you to the Waratahs for sharing the excitement with us at TPI Veterans NSW.
The next game we have to offer is Waratahs playing on 22 May – Waratahs vs Brumbies.
We are inviting you to submit an expression of interest for tickets to the 22 May game. The first members who request tickets will be given them. To be eligible, you must have a current membership with TPI Veterans NSW. Any member can take a guest with the double pass.
This is a great way to meet other members and take part in one of your membership benefits.
